How to Choose a Web Design Company in Kent
The questions that reveal whether a web design company will deliver, and the red flags that say walk away.
Reach

Every web design company in Kent says they are creative, professional and results-driven. That tells you nothing. Here is how to actually choose.
Look at live work, not screenshots
Ask for links to sites they have built that are still live, and open them on your phone. Check three things: does it load fast, is it obvious what the business does within five seconds, and is there a clear way to get in touch? That is what your site will need to do.
Ask these questions
- Who will actually build my site? Some agencies sell the work and outsource it overseas.
- What is included in the price? Copywriting, photography, hosting and changes after launch are common extras.
- What happens after launch? A website is not finished when it goes live. Ask about maintenance and support.
- How long will it take? For a standard business site, anything beyond a few weeks deserves an explanation. Our builds typically run from 7 days to 6 weeks depending on complexity.
Red flags
- A quote before they have asked about your business
- No live examples, or examples that look identical to each other
- Vague ongoing costs, or hosting you cannot move away from
- Prices that seem too low. A £200 website is a template with your logo dropped in, and it will perform like one.
What a fair price looks like
For a properly designed and built small business website in the UK, expect around £1,500 as a typical figure, rising to £3,000 to £5,000+ for larger or more complex sites. Our own guide to website costs breaks this down honestly.
